It varies depending on the screen that you are currently using.

For example, if you are in the Finance module, Create Rental Agreement screen, your application toolbar will contain buttons that enable you to copy or retrieve master data from SAP. 

If you are in the ABAP/4 Workbench Initial Editor screen, your application toolbar will contain buttons for the Dictionary, Repository Browser, and Screen Painter.
