The following points should be considered when selecting a user interface:

* The functionality required by the end users

* The average user's front-end client hardware platform. Hardware details, including CPU speed, amount of RAM, and amount of disk space available.

* The average user's front-end client Operating System platform. For example, Windows, Unix, Linux, Mac OS.

* The network infrastructure servicing the users.

  Also consider remote users.  do they access SAP over a slow WAN link or even slower dial-up?

* Installation ramifications .

   Are there resources available to deploy the SAP GUI, and then patch and maintain it?
