Copying Unselectable Data

Some time data is not selectable in SAP.

For example return to your main SAP window and use the transaction code /nSE11 to go to the SAP Data Dictionary Initial screen. 



Now place your cursor in the Object Name field.  Select the F1 key.  This will launch the field-specific help.

A window will appear. This window will have detailed definitions and technical information for the field.

Try using your mouse to select the text. 

You will not be able to do that.

In these situations you need to add one more keyboard combination. 

Use your mouse to tap once anywhere on the screen. Now press Ctrl+Y.  This will change your mouse to a crosshair cursor. 

Now you can use this cursor to select the desired text.

Once the text is selected you can copy it using CTRL+C and paste it using CTRL+V.
